The traveller, composer and “Englishman” Charles Burney was not only the famous writer and reporter of the musical life in Europe of the XVIII Century, he was also a very good composer and teacher. The proof of his composer skills are these two collections of 4 hand Harpsichord Sonatas and his solo Sonatas. These 2CDs present the first complete recording of the collection of the almost unique (according with Burney himself) example of harpsichord music for 4 hands of that time.
