The Euphoria Quartet, among the pioneers of female comic-classical music, is composed by Marna Fumarola and Suvi Valjus (violins), Hildegard Kuen (viola) and Michela Munari (cello). The Quartet was born in 1999 from the fantasy of the Banda Osiris to be flanked by a comic string quartet.
Their hilarious theatrical performances combined with the academic qualities of a classical string quartet call the collaborations with internationally renowned artists including Skin, Max Gazzè, Stefano Bollani, the duo Petra Magoni and Ferruccio Spinetti, Ron, L’Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio, Dario Vergassola and Justin Hayward of Moody Blues.
The Euphoria Quartet is widely acclaimed by critics and audiences and is invited as a guest at numerous national and international events such as the 2005 Cannes Film Commission, 30 Tenco Prize, the 2006 Turin Olympic Games and the 2011 Festival Musicultura.
Often as guest of radio and television The Euphoria Quartet continues to push the boundaries of female comedy and the boundaries of classical music beyond praxis in unexpected, improbable ways and, above all, as they want.

A Dissonance is the discordance of a set of sounds, which produce
an impression of instability, contrast between notes and tension, so much to require
a subsequent resolution.
In the string quartet dissonances and consonances are created by four people, four solo instruments and at the same time complementary.
And here is the Euphoria Quartet: 4...3...2...1... Go!
Four times, three crazy, two steps and a dream.
Four women, three countries, two violins and a common goal.
Four characters, three timbres, two vipers and a saint? (depends on the time!)
Dissonance or Consonance?
Just agree to disagree.
Each composition makes us dream: Mozart, Rossini, Gardel, everything is distorted with other themes,
genres or movements, and in this vortex even the four musicians can undergo mutations!

Or maybe the comparison with the great repertoire, between narrative evolutions and virtuosity?
This is usually what happens. Usually.
Here is the fantasy that reigns supreme and in freedom, great and unexpected.
The Euphoria Quartet performs in a setting that is only initially that of the serious classical concerts. Nothing, of the measured beginnings, foretells the sonic chaos that will shake musicians and scores. Just a few minutes and confusion replaces the logic. It is therefore a great surprise if the quartet is transformed: the bows become props and the instruments reveal unthinkable possibilities of use. And then, at this point, can we still say to attend a concert? Are the musicians real?
Is it a joke? Is it real?
We simply prefer to think that music needs to be, in addition to being listened to, seen and enjoyed.
