Chamber music: Romances et Morceaux

Romances et Morceaux

Romances et Morceaux stems from the idea of collecting the many facets of female creativity in one album. The hands and minds that have in fact written these notes belonged to female musicians who played an important role in past centuries, but who are little appreciated today.

This is why Duo NoteRosa wants to deepen and share their music.

Over the 19th century, the role of women began to become more and more intense, moving from family life to having opportunities for study and artistic and personal independence. It was in this context that Lili Boulanger, Pauline Viardot, Cécile Chaminade and Elfrida Andreé emerged with their talents as musicians and composers.
