Roaring Twenties

The Ensemble Alraune presents the 6th volume of the Serie "Musica & Regime" exploring the different ways the musicians reacts with their art to repression. The musicians of Alraune support a political idea of music from the principle that no human act can be non-political. Hence the interest in the relationship between music and regimes that has been leading for 10 years now to perform scores born under authoritarian regimes. This volume, containing three unexplored masterpieces by Schulhoff, Hindemith, and Rieti, concludes the first part of the project that dealt with the first part of the 20th century in Italy and Germany. The Musica & Regime project will continue in the coming years with composers from different contexts and periods, always with the aim of discovering how music takes shape in the various forms of authoritarian, dictatorial, or capitalist regimes.

L'Ensemble Alraune presenta il Volume 6 della serie "Musica e Regime". I musicisti di Alraune sostengono un'idea politica della musica partendo dal principio che nessun atto umano possa essere non-politico. Da qui l'interesse per il rapporto tra musica e regimi che sta portando ormai da 10 anni ad eseguire partiture nate sotto regimi autoritari. Con questo volume contenente 3 inesplorati capolavori di Schulhoff, Hindemith e Rieti si conclude la prima parte del progetto che si è occupato della prima parte del XX secolo in Italia e Germania. Il progetto Musica & Regime andrà avanti nei prossimi anni con compositori provenienti da contesti e periodi differenti sempre con l'idea di scoprire come la musica prenda forma nelle varie forme di regimi autoritari, dittatoriali o capitalistici.
