Dvorak Dohnany String Sextets

La tradizione slava, unita alla scuola romantica e post-romantica mitteleuropea, si fondono in queste due composizioni di Dvořák e Dohnany. The Sestetto Stradivari dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecila explores in this third recording the two string sextets by Dvorak and Dohnany. After the Brahms Recording and the Schoenberg/Tchaikowsky recording this third album of the string sextet composed by members of the Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome puts the attention on a little less famous repertoire. The slavonic tradition mixed with the middle european romantic and post romantic school are merging in these two compositions by Dvorak and Dohnany. The warm and passionate sound of the Sestetto Stradivari gives an ideal rendition of the two pieces presenting to the lovers of chamber music an incredible sound experience.
