OCCASIONI nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award Longlist
We are pleased to share that Occasioni, a recording featuring works by Italian composer Emiliano Turazzi, has been nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award (Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, PdSK) longlist for Q3/2025, in the category Contemporary Classical Music.
in the album you can listen to Francesco Dillon on cello, Heiko Maschmann on double bass and Emiliano Turazzi himself on clarinet
This nomination is part of the third quarterly longlist of 2025, which includes 283 new releases across 32 categories, selected by a panel of 153 independent jurors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The PdSK is widely recognized for its independence and critical integrity, and its choices often reflect a commitment to both artistic excellence and innovation.
Although this is not the first time NovAntiqua has appeared among the nominees, each recognition is a quiet affirmation of our ongoing work. We take this opportunity to reaffirm our focus on new music and living composers, which remains a core part of our mission as a label. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of producing recordings by artists such as Max Fuschetto, Ivano Leva, Marika Lombardi, Pasquale Punzo, Daniele Vulpiani, Matteo Tundo, Maria Vittoria Agresti, Yuri Demetz, and of course, Emiliano Turazzi—among many others.
The final Quarterly Critic’s Choice 3/2025 will be published on August 15th, and we look forward to seeing the complete selection. For now, we extend our congratulations to the artists involved in Occasioni, and our thanks to the PdSK jury for considering our work.
